“Der neunte Tag” is the title of a new movie directed by Volker Schlöndorff. The taking of the movie took place from December 1, 2003 to February 1, 2004 in Berlin-Brandenburg, Munich, Luxemburg and in Prague. The script written by Andreas Pflügler („Operation Rubicon“) is based on a book by Eberhard Görner („Nikolaikirche“) and on a diary of priest Jean Bernard from Luxemburg. It describes the unthought terror and the atrocities the priest and his fellow prisoners experienced in the concentration camp Dachau.
